Dean is a floral designer and artist, proudly calling West Philly home for the past decade. Their approach to floral design has been shaped by years spent working as an ecological gardener and landscaper, and a lifetime of daydreaming and doodling roses in the margins.
Dean draws inspiration from the texture and chaotic beauty of life in Philadelphia, the resilience and authenticity of queer and trans people, and paying close attention to the "little things."
With every design, Dean aims to create a sculpture that helps you see each flower as if for the first time. Their favorite word ever used by a customer to describe their work is "buttery."
Off the clock, Dean can be found enjoying life at home with his boyfriend and their beloved senior pug, Quin, or floating in a West Philly public pool with dear friends.

The florist formally known as Sankofa (SAHN-koh-fah), Shelby lives in West Oak Lane with her fiancé, 9 y.o. greyhound (Cricket), + 2 mischievous orange cats (Fig + Steamboat Willie ). Using her background in abstract painting and passion for sustainable, garden-style flower arranging, her goal when designing is to create bold designs that seem to breath as if found in their natural habitat. Guided by music and history, her designs find a balance of dramatics + simplicity, edge + flexibility.
Flowers, short-lived + special, are some of the most perfect examples of abundance we have. Life is short, yeah? Let the bouquets be whimsical and the good times roll. ✌🏾
